Oh, don’t act like you’re not excited, too…
The term “critic-proof” exists for movies that are guaranteed to turn a profit, no matter how they are reviewed. I’d say Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the realization of a million childhood dreams, fits squarely in that camp. But I have confidence that this movie can stand on its own. I liked what Zack Snyder did with the Superman franchise in Man of Steel, and it looks like he’ll be bringing a similar aesthetic back here.
And the cast! Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Amy Adams, Ezra Miller, and Jeremy Irons in the never-ending supporting cast… this is the kind of film whose hype has been a long time coming, and this trailer, released at Comic-Con, shows quite a bit of footage to have your various freak-outs to. I’m looking forward to this. I think it will be quite good. I mean, look at it. How could you not be?
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will open on March 25, 2016 in virtually every country and territory where it is being released.
